I'm moving this from the main site to the forum for my convenience ;)
Please keep this thread read-only.

  • The windows binaries are currently out of date. Using them to connect to a dev-server will probably crash the game.
  • Bugfix: When deflecting a returning disc, the no-disc grace period was given to the player that threw the disc.
  • MG changes:
    • Now semi-automatic
    • Projectile not ballistic anymore
    • Increase splash damage radius.
    • Exponential splash damage falloff
    • New projectile visuals & sounds
    • Increase splash damage from 25 to 35
  • CATs manifest with 50% etherboard power instead of 0%.
  • F12 can now also be used to toggle the console. (Useful when the tilde key does not work for some reason.)
  • Tweak blaster and sniper rifle projectile visuals:
    • Use blaster laser trail for sniper rifle.
    • Use white laser trail for blaster shots that miss and red/blue laser trail for blaster shots that hit. This makes it easier to see how many of your shots actually hit an enemy.
  • The etherform "bodies" are now only visible to other etherforms, but when moving, they leave colorful trails in the ether that are visible to everybody.

  • Tweaked trident bullet spread mechanics and bullet spread.
  • Tweaked trident and sniper rifle projectile trails.
  • Windows binaries are still out of date.

There's currently a whole bunch of new/changed special weapons in the dev version (sniper, assault rifle, grenade launcher, chaingun, machine gun). These weapons are not meant to be universally useful and powerful. Instead, each of them should eventually prove useful in specific situations. For example: The grenade launcher is useful because it allows you to damage enemies without having a direct line of sight to them, not because its grenades cause powerful explosions (they are actually pretty weak).
